rgp prebyopic modules

Fitting lenses to solve the problems of presbyopia is a challenging challenge and, as illustrated in the section dedicated to soft multifocals (p.12), the optical principle of operation is based on simultaneous vision.
To such factor is associated, only in lac RGP, the corrective element of translation tied to the interaction between the lens border and the eyelid rhyme: during the proximal activities the orientation of the look downwards conditions the position of the corneal lac that, interacting with the lower eyelid edge, it moves slightly upwards and this determines the sum of the two effects.

In relation to the contemporaneity between simultaneous vision and translation, all the progressive RGP lac of TSLAC have a central area designated to the correction for far (CF) and a peripheral area for near (PN); this power distribution is an additional benefit for the applicator and maximizes effectiveness in presbyopia compensation.

pro1 - MULTIZONE MODULE CENTER FAR

The multifocal development is carried out on the front surface with a distant center distribution (CF) and near periphery (PN), this allows to match the progressive module PRO1 to any back geometry profile selected by the practitioner.
Add: values from +0.50 to +3.50 with +0.25D steps.

pro2 - ASPHERIC CENTER FAR

The PRO2 is an innovative lens dedicated to presbyopia compensation: the specific internal profile of Hyper-Prolate Asphericity generates an effective multifocality. The advantage of the center-far posterior progression (CF) contains the negative effects resulting from possible vertical lenses decentralizations, due to interaction with eyelids. The value of the back surface addition corresponds to 1.50D. and further dioptric increments are made on the front surface. PRO2 is available in the following versions: Spherical, Back Toric (Sagit2), Front Toric (TE) and Bi-Toric (BT).
Add: values from +0.50 to +3.50 with with +0.25D steps.

pro3l - ASPHERIC CENTRE FAR MODULE

It’s the simultaneous vision multifocal module designed for RGP 3L design; centre-far progression (CF) is determined by negative aspherical frontal development. In the clinical field, the use of lenses with a large total diameter facilitates the translation effect, allowing a visual increase during reading and proximal activities, and increases the centering, another plus in presbyopia compensation. The PRO-3L are available in versions: Aspheric, Sagit2, FT and BT.
Add: values from +0.50 to +3.50 with +0.25D steps.
